Overview
Adamax is a synthetic nootropic peptide in the Semax family, derived from ACTH(4-7). It is a modified heptapeptide that combines the ACTH(4-7) core sequence with a novel extension designed to enhance CNS penetration and metabolic stability compared to earlier Semax compounds.
Adamax is studied for its ability to modulate BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor) expression in hippocampal and cortical neurons, enhance dopaminergic neurotransmission, and provide neuroprotection against ischemic and oxidative injury. It is investigated in cognitive function models including memory formation, attention, and neuroprotection from stroke and hypoxia in preclinical research.
