Overview
Ipamorelin is a selective pentapeptide growth hormone secretagogue and ghrelin receptor agonist. It binds to the GHS-R1a (growth hormone secretagogue receptor type 1a) to stimulate pulsatile GH release from the anterior pituitary with notable selectivity — producing GH pulses without significantly elevating cortisol, prolactin, or ACTH, which distinguishes it from earlier GHRP compounds.
Ipamorelin is commonly studied alongside GHRH analogs such as CJC-1295 no DAC (Mod-GRF 1-29), as the combination of a GHRH analog and a GHRP is known to produce synergistic GH release through complementary mechanisms at the pituitary level.
