IGF-1 LR3 — Insulin-Like Growth Factor Research Peptide

IGF-1 LR3 (Long R3 IGF-1) is a recombinant analog of insulin-like growth factor 1 with an extended half-life of 20–30 hours (vs. 12–15 minutes for native IGF-1). The N-terminal extension reduces IGF-1 binding protein (IGFBP) affinity, resulting in higher bioavailability.

Mechanism of Action

IGF-1 LR3 binds the IGF-1 receptor (IGF1R), activating PI3K/Akt and MAPK/ERK signaling pathways to promote cell proliferation, protein synthesis, glucose uptake, and anti-apoptotic effects in muscle, bone, and neural tissue.

Reconstitution

Reconstitute with 0.6% acetic acid (not BAC water) → 0.1 mg/mL recommended. Then dilute in saline to working concentration.

• Dose: 20–100 µg per day subcutaneous or intramuscular
• Timing: Post-workout for muscle studies
• Cycle: 4–6 weeks maximum; tolerance develops with extended use
• Important: Requires acetic acid reconstitution, not BAC water
