CJC-1295 with DAC

CJC-1295 with DAC (Drug Affinity Complex) is a modified analog of GHRH (growth hormone-releasing hormone) featuring a maleimidoproprionic acid (MPA) side chain that enables covalent binding to endogenous albumin through a Michael addition reaction. This albumin binding dramatically extends the compound's plasma half-life to approximately 7–10 days, enabling weekly dosing protocols in research settings.

By continuously stimulating pituitary GHRH receptors over an extended period, CJC-1295 DAC produces sustained elevations in GH and IGF-1 levels. It is studied as a model compound for long-acting GHRH receptor agonism and is often compared with shorter-acting GHRH analogs to evaluate the pharmacological consequences of continuous vs pulsatile GH stimulation.
