GHRP-2
Ghrelin/GHS-R secretagogue — a potent GH releaser with appetite signaling.
Overview
GHRP-2 (Growth Hormone Releasing Peptide-2, also known as KP-102) is a synthetic hexapeptide GH secretagogue that mimics the action of ghrelin at the GHS-R1a receptor. It stimulates a robust GH pulse from the anterior pituitary and also demonstrates activity at ghrelin receptors in peripheral tissues involved in appetite regulation and gastroprotection.
Compared to GHRP-6, GHRP-2 produces a stronger GH pulse with a relatively attenuated effect on appetite and prolactin, making it a preferred comparator in receptor selectivity studies. It is frequently studied in combination with GHRH analogs to exploit the synergistic amplification of GH pulse magnitude at the pituitary level.

Supplied as a lyophilized powder. Store at 2–8 °C on receipt; protect from heat, light and moisture, and avoid excessive agitation. If reconstitution is required for laboratory work, use sterile technique — bacteriostatic water, or 0.6% acetic acid for low-solubility peptides. Protocols vary by research application.
