Gonadorelin
Synthetic GnRH — the pulsatile signal that governs the entire reproductive axis.
Overview
Gonadorelin is a synthetic decapeptide (Glu-His-Trp-Ser-Tyr-Gly-Leu-Arg-Pro-Gly-NH2) that is chemically and biologically identical to endogenous gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH), the primary hypothalamic releasing factor for the reproductive axis. Under physiological conditions, GnRH is secreted in discrete pulses (every 60–120 minutes) by hypothalamic kisspeptin-responsive GnRH neurons.
The pulsatile nature of GnRH secretion is critical for maintaining normal reproductive function — continuous GnRH stimulation desensitizes pituitary GnRH receptors and paradoxically suppresses LH and FSH secretion (exploited therapeutically in GnRH agonist therapies for prostate cancer and endometriosis). Research applications include HPG axis pharmacology, fertility studies, gonadotropin dynamics, and testosterone recovery research.

Supplied as a lyophilized powder. Store at 2–8 °C on receipt; protect from heat, light and moisture, and avoid excessive agitation. If reconstitution is required for laboratory work, use sterile technique — bacteriostatic water, or 0.6% acetic acid for low-solubility peptides. Protocols vary by research application.
