Copper peptide — studied for stimulating collagen and skin regeneration.

Purity ≥98.7% HPLCFormat Lyophilized powderVial 3 mlResearch use only

Overview

AHK-Cu (Alanyl-Histidyl-Lysyl copper complex) is a copper-binding tripeptide related to the well-characterized GHK-Cu family of skin biology peptides. Copper-binding peptides have been extensively studied for their roles in extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling, collagen and elastin synthesis stimulation, matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) regulation, and anti-inflammatory signaling.

AHK-Cu is of particular interest in dermal regeneration and wound healing research, where copper ions delivered by the peptide carrier facilitate key enzymatic processes including lysyl oxidase activity (required for collagen cross-linking) and superoxide dismutase (SOD) function. It is studied as a complement to and comparison with GHK-Cu in skin biology models.

Research applications

  • Copper-peptide mediated collagen and elastin synthesis studies
  • Extracellular matrix remodeling and MMP regulation research
  • Wound healing, re-epithelialization, and dermal regeneration models
  • Lysyl oxidase activity and collagen cross-linking research
  • Anti-inflammatory and antioxidant copper-peptide signaling
  • Comparison with GHK-Cu in skin biology research models

Handling & storage

Supplied as a lyophilized powder. Store at 2–8 °C on receipt; protect from heat, light and moisture, and avoid excessive agitation. If reconstitution is required for laboratory work, use sterile technique — bacteriostatic water, or 0.6% acetic acid for low-solubility peptides. Protocols vary by research application.

Research use only. Research-grade, high-purity material (≥98.7% HPLC) supplied strictly for laboratory and analytical purposes. Not for human or animal consumption; not a drug or dietary supplement; not approved by the FDA, EMA or other agencies. To be handled only by qualified professionals in appropriate facilities, under all applicable laws. A certificate of analysis may be available on request.
