Pinealon

Pinealon (tripeptide Glu-Asp-Arg, also written as EDR) is a synthetic short peptide bioregulator from the Khavinson series, originally derived from research on pineal gland extracts. It represents a class of "short peptide bioregulators" developed through decades of Russian gerontology research.

Pinealon is investigated for its ability to penetrate the blood-brain barrier and modulate neuronal gene expression, with research suggesting effects on neuroprotection, cognitive function, circadian rhythm regulation, and antioxidant defense in neural tissues.
